"TRADING IDEA FOR TUESDAY (10.05.2011)"

The BSE 30-share Sensex was up 10.15 points or 0.05% to 18,528.96. The index rose 124.77 points at the day's high of 18,643.58 in early trade. The Sensex fell 151.60 points at the day's low of 18,367.21 in morning trade. The S&P CNX Nifty was down flat at 5551.10. The BSE Mid-Cap index rose 0.12% and outperformed the Sensex. The BSE Small-Cap index was flat and underperformed the Sensex.
The market breadth was negative. On BSE, 1520 shares declined while 1281 shares advanced and a total of 104 shares remained unchanged. Among the 30-member Sensex pack, 18 declined while rest of them advanced.
BSE clocked turnover of ` 2168 crore lower than ` 3349.16 crore on Friday, 6 May 2011.
MAJOR RESULTS TODAY: RCF, SOBHA, CHAMBALFERT, NTPC, GLENMARK, LIBERTYSHOE, ASIANPAINT, RANBAXY, JUBILANT, TATAINVEST, HDFC, CENTEXT, NIITLTD, RENUKA, TRIVENI, VOLTAMP, HANUNG.
FOR TODAY: EU markets closed in negative whereas US markets covered all of its earlier losses yesterday and finally closed in GREEN. Asian markets are trading mixed. SGX Nifty is trading at Singapore marginally below from its last closing indicates Nifty may open flat to negative.
Outlook for Nifty is negative and will continue to be so until a resumption of higher-top higher-bottom formation on the daily chart will be seen. 
However, further short covering is not ruled out if Nifty crosses yesterday's high, 5586. 5628, the 200 day exponential moving average is the immediate resistance, followed by 5693, the bottom made on 19th April. On the downside, a breach of last week's low, 5443, can take the benchmark to about 5370.
